1st course on pediatric cancers: Central Nervous System tumors
Central Nervous System Tumors (CNS) are the 2nd most common cancers in children after leukemia and represent multiple therapeutic issues.
This course focused on the integration of scientific and clinical approaches. Pathology, biology and imaging were covered over two 3 days sessions led by internationally recognized speakers.
The course is jointly organized by Institut Curie's Training Unit, the Institut Curie SIREDO center (Care, Innovation, Research in Childhood Cancer, ADOlescent and young adults) and clinicians and researchs from Institut Curie, Gustave Roussy, Necker Enfants-Malades Hospital and Sainte-Anne Hospital Center.
The target public was all medical disciplines involving diagnosis and treatments in pediatric neuro-oncology as well as Master 2 students, PhD students and post doctoral fellows already working in the field or wishing to join it.
