Samar Alsafadi received the "Women in Cancer Research" Scholar Award 2019 for the "Comprehensive detection and analysis of mutant-SF3B1 splice pattern" poster.
The study hightlights the potential of splice patterns as a biomarker in the absence of detectable splice related mutations and sheds light on an efficient, large-scale computational approach to screen clinical cases for splice patterns.
Samar Alsafadi is a key actor on the SIRIC project who works on the "Identification of new therapeutic strategies" project in the frame of the uveal melanoma program. She is also part of SIRIC's health democracy group.
