Vulnerability and cancer project

The SIRIC Curie health democracy team is taking part in the development of a project focused on vulnerability, led by the VULNERABLE movement and Institut Curie
Projet VULNERABLE et Institut Curie

In November 2024, VULNERABLE launched « The Vulnerable World Tour », a digital educational journey for the general public, inviting them to change their perspective on vulnerability. 

Institut Curie and the movement are joining forces to adapt this program in the form of a booklet for patients with cancer. The objective is to offer these patients a reflection on vulnerability, a resource that could help them see their disease differently, open new perspectives and promote reconstruction through empowerment. 

Firstly, the booklet will be distributed over 6 months by health professionals from the Breast Cancer Delegation and Surveillance Unit at Institut Curie to patients with breast cancer who have finished their treatment. The impact of the booklet and the distribution method will then be evaluated. 

The SIRIC Curie health democracy group is a partner of this project. Two patient partners have joined the editorial committee steering the project and are currently participating in the creation of the booklet.
